Runescape Defence - Shields
There are two main types of shields, the square shield, which is shaped like a square, and a kiteshield which is shaped like a kite. The kiteshield is stronger than the square shield and requires the same level to wield. Also, kiteshields are usually the same as the next type of square shield. For example, a bronze kiteshield has very similar properties to the iron square shield. There are also some special shields in RuneScape. They include the granite shield and the crystal shield (members only).
As these skills grow higher, a player will gain access to more powerful spells and prayers. Players using certain items can transform themselves into piles of stone, eggs, penguins, or monkeys, which help them to avoid negative gameplay effects or by gaining them access to otherwise unreachable places.
